Aruba CX 6000 24G 4SFP switch

The Aruba CX 6000 is a 1U rack-mountable Layer 3 Ethernet switch with 24 Gigabit RJ-45 ports and 4 SFP uplink slots. It supports PoE on RJ-45 ports and draws 33 W. The stackable, manageable design targets small to mid-size wired LANs.

Before ordering

Verify that your rack provides a 1U slot and that the power feed can supply 33 W for the unit. Confirm the SFP transceivers you intend to use are compatible with the mini-GBIC slots. Ensure your cabling plant uses twisted-pair or optical fibre suited to Gigabit Ethernet.

Who this suits

Network teams needing a stackable, PoE-capable Layer 3 switch with 24 copper ports and fibre uplinks for campus or branch deployments. Buyers requiring 10 Gigabit or higher port speeds, or a non-PoE model with deeper buffer capacity, should look at other platforms.

Should I choose the 24-port RJ-45 model or a version with more SFP slots for my uplinks?

What does the 33 W power consumption mean for daily operation in a 1U rack?

The switch draws 33 W under typical load, so it adds minimal heat and fits a standard 1U rack without requiring extra cooling capacity.
