Replaces ad-hoc cable loops for EliteBook

Owners of EliteBook 2540p, 8440p, 8740w or ProBook 6450b, 6455b, 6540b, 6550b, 6555b models can move from improvised ties to a purpose-built lock that engages the docking station drive bay. The jump is worth it when the notebook stays docked overnight in shared or open-plan offices. First listed by the manufacturer in 2021.

Steel cable resists sustained tension

The 1.85 m steel cable maintains its integrity under continuous pull rather than snapping after a brief yank. The lock cylinder is designed to withstand prolonged picking attempts without the mechanism seizing. The module adds 0.25 kg to the docking station and does not obstruct ventilation or port access during long work sessions.
