24-inch 100 Hz IPS Monitor

The HP 524da is a 24-inch class Full HD display with a 23.8-inch viewable area. It uses In-plane Switching technology and an Edge LED backlight to deliver 1920 x 1080 resolution at a 100 Hz refresh rate. The panel offers a 5 ms response time and 300 nits of brightness. Integrated speakers provide audio output without external hardware.

Suited for General Office and Home Use

This monitor fits everyday productivity, web browsing, and video playback where a smooth 100 Hz refresh rate improves motion clarity. The IPS panel provides wide viewing angles for shared screen scenarios. Buyers who need higher resolution for detailed design work, faster response times for competitive gaming, or extensive colour calibration support should consider other options.

Full HD Capacity at 100 Hz

The 1920 x 1080 resolution comfortably handles standard office applications, dual-window workflows, and 1080p media streaming. The 100 Hz refresh rate adds fluidity for casual video and light motion content. Headroom ends when workflows demand greater pixel density for fine text rendering, colour-critical print proofing, or high-frame-rate competitive gaming beyond the 5 ms response capability.

Questions about this item

Does my graphics card need an HDMI output to connect this 100 Hz monitor?

Yes, the display accepts an HDMI signal for its 1920 x 1080 resolution at 100 Hz refresh rate.

Will the 16:9 IPS panel match the aspect ratio of my older 4:3 monitor in a dual setup?

The 23.8 inch viewable area uses a 16:9 ratio, so older 4:3 content will show pillar-box bars on each side.

How can I verify the panel is running at the advertised 100 Hz after I plug it in?

Open the on-screen display menu and confirm the information page reads 100 Hz, or check the advanced display settings in your operating system.
