HP E2Q82AA Xeon E5-2650 v2 2.6 GHz 20 MB 95 W LGA2011 switch module

Refurbished Xeon processor kit for Z820

This refurbished HP E2Q82AA kit supplies an eight-core Xeon E5-2650 v2 running at 2.6 GHz with 20 MB Smart Cache for the Z820 workstation. It uses the FCLGA2011 socket and a 22 nm process. Buyers who need a different socket or a newer architecture cannot use this module.

95 W thermal envelope under sustained load

The 95 W rating reflects continuous operation rather than a brief turbo burst, so the Z820 cooling must handle that steady heat output. An 8 GT/s QPI link keeps data moving between sockets during extended multi-threaded work. Builders who require a lower power envelope or a different interconnect speed should look elsewhere.
