14-inch Copilot+ notebook for mobile professionals

The HP EliteBook 8 G1a combines a 14.0-inch WUXGA IPS touchscreen with an AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 250 processor reaching 5.10 GHz. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR5 memory and a 512 GB SSD support Windows 11 Pro workloads. Integrated AMD Radeon 780M graphics handle daily visual tasks without a discrete card.

Soldered memory and fixed storage limit field

The 16 GB of DDR5 is soldered to the board, so capacity cannot be increased after purchase. The 512 GB drive is the only internal slot provided, requiring external storage for larger datasets. Wi-Fi 7 and the 60 Hz panel are ready to use once Windows 11 Pro completes its initial setup.

Sustained output stays within the integrated

Under continuous load the Ryzen 7 PRO 250 and Radeon 780M share the chassis cooling system, so clock speeds settle below the 5.10 GHz turbo. The 60 Hz refresh rate caps frame delivery during long rendering or compute sessions. Surface temperatures rise noticeably during extended heavy workloads.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 14.0-inch WUXGA touchscreen is running at 1920 x 1200 resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate after setup?

Open Windows Display Settings and verify the panel shows 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz; the touchscreen should respond to finger input across the full 14.0-inch IPS surface.

What comes in the box with the EliteBook 8 G1a and what must I purchase separately for memory upgrades?

The notebook ships with 16 GB DDR5 soldered memory and a 512 GB SSD; no additional RAM slots exist, so memory cannot be upgraded after purchase.

Which configuration should I choose if I need the Copilot+ PC features with AMD Radeon 780M graphics and Wi-Fi 7?

This C03QHUT#ABA model includes the Ryzen 7 PRO 250 processor, AMD Radeon 780M graphics, Wi-Fi 7, 16 GB DDR5, 512 GB SSD and Windows 11 Pro — all required for Copilot+ PC functionality.
