Purpose-built business laptop

The HP EliteBook 8 G1i is a 16-inch AI-enhanced notebook designed for professionals who need reliable performance in office and hybrid settings. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H processor with 24 GB of DDR5-5600 memory and a 1 TB solid-state drive. Integrated Intel Arc 140T graphics drive the 1920 x 1200 IPS display rated at 400 nits and 100% sRGB coverage.

Suited for mobile knowledge work.

This configuration suits analysts, managers and travelling staff who value a 16.0" anti-glare screen, a 5 MP IR AI camera with Poly Studio audio and a 77 Whr battery inside a 3.73 lb glacier-silver aluminium chassis. Buyers who need a dedicated graphics card for rendering, CAD or gaming should look at a different class of machine because the graphics subsystem here is integrated only.

Integrated Arc 140T graphics define the visual

The single specification that decides fit is the Intel Arc 140T GPU built into the Core Ultra 7 255H processor. It handles everyday productivity, video calls and light creative tasks on the WUXGA panel but cannot deliver the frame rates or compute throughput of a discrete mobile GPU. If your workflow demands that level of graphics performance, this is not the right part.

Questions about this item

Will the 16.0" WUXGA 1920 x 1200 display run at its native resolution when I connect my older monitor over HDMI?

The built-in panel is 16.0" WUXGA at 1920 x 1200; an external monitor connected via HDMI will negotiate its own native resolution independently.

How can I verify the Intel Core Ultra 7 255H is hitting 5.1 GHz and the Arc 140T GPU is active after setup?

Open Task Manager's Performance tab to watch the CPU clock reach 5.1 GHz under load and confirm the Arc 140T GPU appears with its own utilisation graph.

Does the box include a stylus or dock for the 5 MP IR AI camera, and is the 24 GB DDR5-5600 MT/s memory upgradeable?

The box contains the laptop, a power adapter and documentation; no stylus or dock is included, and the 24 GB DDR5-5600 MT/s memory is soldered and not upgradeable.
