Business-ready 14.0" FHD laptop

The HP EliteBook 840 G3 delivers a 1920 x 1080 non-touch display in a silver chassis. It runs on an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor with a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 handles everyday visuals. The unit ships with 8 GB of DDR3 memory and a new 1 TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. No operating system is pre-installed.

Suits mobile professionals needing a clean Windows

Buyers who want an out-of-the-box experience with a licensed OS should look elsewhere. The 8 GB DDR3 configuration fits standard office multitasking but cannot be expanded beyond the two available slots. Users requiring more than 32 GB of total memory will need a different platform. The integrated graphics are not intended for heavy 3D workloads.

Storage decision: 1 TB NVMe PCIe SSD

The new M.2 drive uses the NVMe protocol over PCIe lanes, providing fast sequential throughput for large files and quick application launches. Capacity is fixed at 1 TB with no secondary drive bay mentioned. If your workflow demands multiple internal drives or a larger single volume, this specification will not meet that requirement.
