Business laptop with 1TB NVMe storage

The HP EliteBook 840 G3 is a 14.0 inch business laptop built around an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor. It runs at 2.60 GHz with a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency and includes Intel HD Graphics 520. The system ships with 8GB of DDR3 memory and a new 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. No operating system is installed.

Suited for office work.

This configuration suits professionals who need a portable machine for document editing, web browsing and video calls using the integrated webcam. The 1366 x 768 HD panel limits detail for photo or video editing, and the integrated graphics cannot drive demanding 3D applications. Buyers who want a higher resolution display or discrete graphics should look at something else.

No operating system included

The single specification that decides fit is the absence of any pre-installed operating system. The purchaser must acquire and install Windows or another OS before the laptop can be used. Memory can be expanded to 32 GB across two slots if additional capacity is required later.
