HP EliteBook 840 G3 laptop

This 14.0 inch HD laptop ships without an operating system, so the buyer must supply and install Windows or another OS before use. It is intended for users who already hold a licence or prefer a Linux distribution and want a ready-to-run business chassis. The dual-core Intel Core i7-6500U reaches 3.10 GHz turbo frequency and pairs with 8GB DDR3 memory and a new 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe drive.

Display and graphics limits

The 1366 x 768 panel is non-touch and driven by Intel HD Graphics 520 integrated graphics, so external monitor support and 3D workloads are constrained by that engine. Memory tops out at 32 GB across two slots, but the installed 8GB DDR3 cannot be upgraded without opening the chassis. No HDD bay is present, limiting storage expansion to the single M.2 slot.

No operating system included

The machine arrives with no operating system installed, making it unsuitable for anyone who expects a working desktop on first boot. Buyers who need a pre-loaded Windows licence or a recovery partition must look elsewhere.
