Business laptop for mobile professionals

The HP EliteBook 840 G3 is a 14.0" business laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-6300U processor at 2.4 GHz with 8GB DDR4 memory and a 256GB SATA SSD. It runs Windows 10 Home and includes a 720p webcam, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 wireless, VGA, DisplayPort, two USB 3.0 ports and one USB 3.1 Type-C port. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 drives the 1366 x 768 non-touch display.

Suits office work and travel; not for heavy graphics

This device suits professionals who need a lightweight, durable chassis for document editing, email, video calls and web-based applications on the move. The dual-core processor and integrated graphics handle typical productivity workloads well. Buyers who want more storage, a higher-resolution screen, discrete graphics for creative workloads or a touchscreen should look at something else.

256GB SATA SSD capacity

The single specification that decides fit is the 256GB SATA SSD. It determines how much local data, applications and OS updates the laptop can hold before external drives or cloud storage become necessary. Verify that this capacity matches your workload before purchasing.
