Questions about this item

How do I add more RAM to the EliteBook 840 G3 and what step is often missed?

Open the bottom cover, insert the DDR3 stick into one of the two slots and press until the clips click — the step people skip is seating it fully before locking it down.

What will need replacing first during the life of this EliteBook 840 G3?

The 500GB NVMe drive has a finite write endurance; after heavy use it will need swapping before the soldered DDR3 or the 14.0 inch FHD panel.

What limit appears first when the i7-6600U runs at 3.40 GHz for a long period?

The Intel HD Graphics 520 shares system memory, so sustained turbo pushes thermals and the 16GB DDR3 becomes the bottleneck before the 500GB SSD.
