HP EliteBook 840 G3 business laptop

The HP EliteBook 840 G3 is a 14.0 inch business laptop built around an Intel Core i7-6500U dual-core processor that reaches 3.10 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and includes a webcam plus Bluetooth for remote meetings. The silver chassis targets professionals who need a portable Windows machine for office applications and video calls.

32GB DDR3 memory and 1TB NVMe storage

The system provides 32GB of DDR3 memory across two slots, matching the maximum supported capacity for heavy multitasking and large spreadsheets. A new 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD supplies fast boot times and ample room for project files. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 drives the 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display, which handles desktop work and video playback but runs out of headroom for 3D rendering or modern gaming titles.

FHD non-touch display and integrated graphics

The 14.0 inch FHD panel at 1920 x 1080 resolution offers sharp text for document editing without touch input. Intel HD Graphics 520 shares system memory, so the 32GB DDR3 pool serves both CPU and GPU workloads. Buyers who want a dedicated GPU for CAD, a touchscreen for annotation, or cellular connectivity for travel will need a different configuration. The laptop includes Windows 10 Pro 64-bit pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Questions about this item

Will the 14.0" FHD screen and Intel HD Graphics 520 drive my older 1920 x 1080 monitor without scaling issues?

The built-in Intel HD Graphics 520 supports 1920 x 1080 output, so an external 1080p monitor will run at native resolution with no scaling required.

How can I verify the 32GB DDR3 memory and 1TB NVMe SSD are recognised after first boot?

Open Task Manager > Performance tab; it will show 32 GB DDR3 and a 1 TB NVMe drive with the correct capacities listed.

Does the box include a power adapter or must I source a USB-C charger separately?

The laptop ships with its standard barrel-type AC adapter; no USB-C charger is needed or included.
