14 inch business laptop for mobile professionals

The HP EliteBook 840 G4 is a 14.0 inch laptop built for professionals who need a reliable Windows 10 Pro machine for daily office tasks. It runs on an Intel Core i5-7300U dual-core processor at 2.6 GHz with 16 GB of DDR4 memory. A 128 GB M.2 SATA SSD provides the system drive. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 drives the 1366 x 768 LED display.

Suits users needing legacy ports

This unit fits buyers who require VGA, full-size DisplayPort, Gigabit Ethernet and a USB 3.1 Type-C connection on a compact chassis. The Grade B LCD shows visible scratches or blemishes, so it is not for users who want a pristine screen. Buyers needing a touchscreen, higher resolution panel or larger storage capacity should look elsewhere.

128 GB M.2 SATA SSD determines storage flexibility

The single 128 GB M.2 SATA SSD is the specification that decides suitability. It limits the amount of local data you can keep without external drives or cloud storage. If your workflow demands more onboard space for large files or multiple applications, this drive size will be a constraint.
