HP EliteBook 840 G4 business laptop

The HP EliteBook 840 G4 is a business laptop built around an Intel Core i7-7600U dual-core processor running at 2.80GHz. It ships with 16GB of memory and a 256GB SSD. The 14.0-inch touchscreen adds direct input for presentations or field work. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed. The Grade B condition indicates cosmetic wear while the unit is new.

16GB memory and 256GB storage capacity

Sixteen gigabytes of memory gives comfortable headroom for typical office multitasking, web browsing and light virtualisation. The 256GB SSD holds the operating system, applications and a working set of documents without swapping. Users who keep large media libraries or multiple virtual machines will reach the storage limit quickly and need external drives or cloud storage.

Thermals and power in daily use

The ultra-low-voltage dual-core chip keeps heat output modest during typical productivity workloads. Fan noise stays low when running email, browser and document tasks. Under sustained heavy compute the cooling system will spin up audibly but remains within normal office tolerance. Power draw stays light enough for all-day battery use on mixed workloads.
