14-inch business laptop with quad-core i7

The HP EliteBook 840 G5 delivers a 1.9 GHz Intel Core i7-8650U processor with four cores and eight threads. Eight gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 2 TB NVMe PCIe M.2 solid-state drive provide responsive multitasking and ample local storage. A 14.0-inch 1920 x 1080 LED-backlit display and Intel UHD Graphics 620 handle everyday productivity. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed for managed environments.

Thunderbolt 3 port and wired Gigabit Ethernet

One USB-C Thunderbolt 3 connection supports external displays and high-speed peripherals, while two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports cover legacy devices. Gigabit RJ-45 Ethernet offers reliable wired networking up to 1000 Mbps. HDMI output adds a second display option. Integrated Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 handles Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity without discrete antennas.

2 TB NVMe capacity for large local datasets

The 2 TB PCIe solid-state drive accommodates extensive project files, virtual machines and offline media libraries. Eight gigabytes of soldered DDR4 memory is sufficient for typical office workloads and light creative tasks. Integrated UHD 620 graphics share system memory, limiting 3D rendering and modern gaming performance. Buyers needing user-upgradeable RAM or discrete GPU acceleration should consider other form factors.
