14 inch FHD Touchscreen Business Laptop

The HP EliteBook 840 G8 is a 14 inch Full HD Touchscreen laptop built for professionals who need responsive input and clear visuals on the move. An Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor at 2.8 GHz with 4.70 GHz max turbo frequency drives productivity workloads. Integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics handles presentations, streaming and light creative tasks. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed.

Professionals needing touch input

This configuration suits mobile workers who value the 1920 x 1080 Touchscreen for direct interaction and the two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports for high-speed docks or peripherals. The 16 GB DDR4 memory and 256 GB NVMe SSD support multitasking and fast boot times. Buyers who want more storage or a dedicated graphics processor should look at other models.

256 GB NVMe SSD capacity

The single specification that decides fit is the 256 GB NVMe solid-state drive. It determines how much local data, applications and project files the laptop can hold without external storage. If your workflow requires a larger internal volume, this unit will not meet that need.

Questions about this item

Will the 2.8 GHz i7-1165G7 and Thunderbolt 4 ports work with my existing DDR4 SODIMMs and USB-A dock?

The laptop ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports alongside the two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports, so current DDR4 modules and USB-A peripherals connect directly.

How can I verify the 1920 x 1080 touchscreen and Iris Xe graphics are active after first boot?

Open Settings > System > Display to confirm 1920 x 1080 resolution and touch input, then check Device Manager > Display adapters for Intel Iris Xe Graphics.

Which accessories are included and what must I purchase separately for a full setup?

The box contains the EliteBook 840 G8 and its proprietary charger; any external monitor cables, USB-C hubs or carrying cases are sold separately.
