Refurbished business laptop

The HP EliteBook 840 G8 J5-840G8A11 is a refurbished 14 inch laptop built for professional workloads. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core i5-1145G7 quad-core processor with 16GB memory and a 512GB SSD. The FHD display shows 1920 x 1080 resolution without touch input. Grade A cosmetic condition means only minor signs of previous use.

Integrated graphics thermals

Intel Iris Xe graphics share system memory instead of using a discrete chip. This integrated design keeps power draw lower than dedicated GPU laptops during typical office tasks. The cooling system handles sustained workloads like video calls or spreadsheet work without excessive fan noise. Battery life benefits from the efficient Tiger Lake architecture.

Included power adapter only

The package supplies the laptop and a power adapter. No docking station, external monitor cable or carrying case is bundled. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed and ready for domain join or device management. Buyers who want a second charger, USB-C hub or laptop sleeve must source those separately.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 512GB SSD in the HP EliteBook 840 G8, and what step do people often miss?

The 512GB SSD comes factory-installed in the M.2 slot; the step users miss is ensuring the single retention screw is fully tightened after seating the drive.

What maintenance or replacement will the 16GB memory configuration need later?

The 16GB of memory is soldered to the board and cannot be upgraded; future maintenance is limited to storage expansion via the second M.2 slot if available.

What limit appears first on the Intel Iris Xe graphics during sustained workloads?

The shared system memory architecture means the 16GB RAM pool is split between CPU and GPU, so graphics-intensive tasks hit the memory bandwidth ceiling first.
