HP EliteBook 840 G8 for mobile professionals

The HP EliteBook 840 G8 is a 14.0 inch business laptop running Windows 11 Pro. It uses an Intel Core i5 11th Gen processor with four cores and a turbo frequency of 4.2 GHz. Integrated graphics handle the 1920 x 1080 Full HD non-touch display. The system includes 16GB of memory and a 256GB SSD for the operating system and files.

Ready to use with no internal work

The laptop arrives fully assembled with the operating system preinstalled. There are no user-accessible storage bays or memory slots to configure. Wireless connectivity uses 802.11ac and Bluetooth for peripherals. The integrated webcam and touchpad work immediately. Drivers for the integrated graphics are supplied by Windows Update.

Check your workflow fits the fixed specification

The 256GB SSD cannot be expanded internally so users with large media libraries need external storage. The 16GB memory is soldered and not upgradeable. Integrated graphics limit 3D performance and multi-monitor setups beyond the built-in screen. The non-touch 14.0 inch panel suits text work but not pen input or colour-critical editing.
