Refurbished business laptop for mobile professionals

This HP EliteBook 840 G9 arrives in Grade A cosmetic condition with Windows 11 Pro 64-bit installed. The 10-core Intel Core i7-1265U processor and 32GB of memory support multitasking across office applications and virtual meetings. A 512GB NVMe SSD provides fast boot and file access. The 14.0-inch non-touch display shows 1920 x 1080 resolution in a thin-and-light chassis weighing 3 lbs.

Two Thunderbolt 4 ports

Dual Thunderbolt 4 ports allow a single cable to carry power, data and video to compatible docks or monitors. One HDMI 2.0 output adds a second external display without a dock. Two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports keep legacy peripherals working. A microSD card reader and headset jack complete the I/O set for travel-ready flexibility.

Integrated graphics and fixed memory set practical

Intel Iris Xe graphics use shared system memory, so 3D workloads and heavy video encoding compete with the 32GB RAM ceiling that cannot be upgraded. The 512GB NVMe drive is the only internal storage slot, so large local datasets require external drives. Non-touch FHD panel and 1.8GHz base clock suit productivity, not gaming or colour-critical creative work.

Questions about this item

Will the 512GB NVMe drive be replaceable if I need more storage later?

The laptop uses a standard NVMe drive so a larger one can be installed when required.

What limits performance first during long workloads on the i7-1265U?

The 10-core processor relies on integrated Iris Xe graphics sharing the 32GB system memory, so sustained heavy tasks hit thermal and memory bandwidth limits.

How loud or hot does the EliteBook 840 G9 get when running all day?

The thin 0.76" chassis and integrated graphics mean fan noise and surface temperature rise noticeably under continuous load.
