HP EliteBook 850 G3 laptop

This HP EliteBook 850 G3 is a 15.6-inch business laptop with a 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display. It runs on an Intel Core i5-6300U dual-core processor with a 2.40 GHz base and 3.00 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 8GB of DDR4 memory and a new 240GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. It ships without an operating system.

Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 limits

The integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 handles desktop work and video playback but is not suited for modern gaming or intensive GPU compute tasks. The 240GB NVMe drive offers fast boot and application load times yet its capacity fills quickly with large media libraries or multiple virtual machines. Memory can be expanded to 32 GB across two slots for heavier multitasking workloads.

Upgrade from older dual-core ultrabooks

This model replaces ageing dual-core ultrabooks that lack NVMe storage and modern DDR4 memory. The jump is worthwhile for users who need quicker storage response and higher memory bandwidth for office suites and web-based workflows. It is not for buyers who require discrete graphics performance, touchscreen input, or a pre-installed operating system.
