HP EliteBook 850 G5 Business Laptop

The HP EliteBook 850 G5 is a 15.6 inch business laptop built for professionals who need reliable performance in a silver chassis. It runs on an Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor with 1.9 GHz base speed and 6 MB L3 cache. The system includes 32 GB DDR4 memory and a 256 GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD for fast storage. Windows 10 Pro comes pre-installed.

Thunderbolt 3 Port Limits

A single USB Type C Thunderbolt 3 port handles data, video and charging through one connector. It supports external displays and high-speed peripherals but only one such port is available on this model. Two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports provide additional connectivity for standard devices. Gigabit Ethernet and HDMI round out the wired interface options.

Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620

The Intel UHD Graphics 620 uses shared system memory instead of dedicated video memory. This integrated solution drives the 1920 x 1080 FHD panel and supports external monitors via HDMI or Thunderbolt 3. It suits office applications, video playback and light creative work. Buyers who need discrete GPU power for 3D rendering or modern gaming should look elsewhere.

What does the i7‑8650U 1.9GHz quad‑core actually deliver in daily work?

Four cores and eight threads at 1.9 GHz base clock with 8 MB cache provide strong performance for office suites, video calls and light content creation, staying within a 15 W envelope for cool, quiet operation.
