HP EliteBook 850 G5 Business Laptop

This 15.6-inch laptop uses an Intel Core i7-8650U processor with four cores and eight threads at 1.9 GHz. It includes 8 GB DDR4 memory and a 256 GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed for professional environments.

Thunderbolt 3 Port Limits

The single USB Type-C Thunderbolt 3 port supports data, video and charging through one connector. Bandwidth is shared with other USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports on the system. External GPU enclosures or high-speed RAID arrays may not reach their full potential through this interface.

Installation and Common Issues

The laptop ships with charger and battery ready for immediate setup. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 uses shared system memory, reducing RAM available for applications. Soldered memory prevents future upgrades beyond the factory 8 GB configuration.
