HP EliteBook 850 G6 for mobile professionals

The HP EliteBook 850 G6 is a 15.6-inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-8665U quad-core processor running at 1.9 GHz. It comes with 16 GB DDR4 memory and a 512 GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. The 1920 x 1080 FHD display uses LED backlighting and integrated Intel UHD Graphics. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Check ports power and docking needs

Verify that your existing Thunderbolt 3 dock or USB-C charger can deliver sufficient power for this 15 W processor. Confirm that any external monitors you plan to use support the HDMI output or the single Thunderbolt 3 port for video. Ensure your network infrastructure can use the Gigabit Ethernet jack or the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 adapter.

Replaces older 15-inch business notebooks

This unit upgrades from earlier EliteBook models that lack Thunderbolt 3 and NVMe storage, giving faster boot times and single-cable docking. The jump is worthwhile if you need four cores with eight threads and a modern port selection for docks and displays. Buyers who require a touchscreen, discrete graphics or a larger SSD should look elsewhere.
