HP EliteBook 860 G11 2-in-1

This HP EliteBook 860 G11 is a 2-in-1 laptop built for professionals who need a convertible device running Windows 11 Pro. It combines a 16-inch WUXGA touchscreen with an Intel Core Ultra 5-135U processor and integrated graphics. The system includes 16 GB of memory and a 512 GB SSD in a Pike Silver chassis.

Suits mobile workers needing pen and touch

The convertible form factor supports users who switch between typing, presenting, and annotating on the 1920 x 1200 display. Thunderbolt 4 ports handle dual 4K monitors and fast peripherals. Buyers who require discrete graphics for rendering, a larger SSD capacity, or user-replaceable memory should consider other configurations.

Intel Core Ultra 5-135U with integrated graphics

The processor runs at 1.6 GHz base speed and relies on Intel integrated graphics for all visual output. This architecture handles office suites, web apps, and video playback efficiently. Workloads needing dedicated GPU acceleration, such as 3D modelling or heavy video editing, will not perform well on this platform.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 512 GB SSD and which step is most often missed?

The SSD is already fitted; the step people miss is enabling BitLocker in Windows 11 Pro before storing sensitive data.

What maintenance will the 16 GB memory need later?

The memory is soldered and not upgradeable; keep vents clear and update firmware so the integrated graphics run efficiently.

Which limit appears first on the Intel Ultra 5-135U during a long compile job?

The 1.6 GHz base clock means thermal throttling arrives before the 16 GB RAM or 512 GB SSD become bottlenecks.
