EliteBook X G2a Copilot+ AI laptop

The HP EliteBook X G2a is a 14 inch Copilot+ PC built around an AMD Ryzen AI 7 PRO 450 processor with an integrated neural processing unit. It ships with 32 GB of memory and a 1 TB solid state drive. The 14.0 inch IPS display runs at 2880 x 1800 resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Upgrade from older AI-less notebooks

This system replaces laptops that lack a dedicated neural processing unit for on-device AI workloads. The 8-core Ryzen AI 400 series chip reaches 5.10 GHz turbo frequency and pairs with Radeon 860M graphics using shared system memory. The jump is worth it when your workflow uses Copilot+ features or local AI acceleration that older silicon cannot handle.

Check Wi-Fi 7 router and peripheral compatibility

Before ordering, verify that your wireless infrastructure supports IEEE 802.11be to use the Wi-Fi 7 capability. Confirm that your existing docks, monitors and accessories connect over the ports this chassis provides. The non-touch 2.8K panel and Atmospheric Blue finish are fixed configurations. Buyers who need a touchscreen or a different colour should consider other models.

Questions about this item

What physical clearance does the 14.0-inch chassis require for a sleeve or dock?

The 14.0-inch form factor fits standard 14-inch sleeves and docks; allow a few millimetres extra for the hinge and side ports.

How is Windows 11 Pro activated on first boot, and what step do users often miss?

Connect to the internet, sign in with a Microsoft account, and accept the licence screen; skipping the account step leaves the OS unactivated.

When will the 1 TB SSD or 32 GB memory need replacement?

The soldered 32 GB memory is not upgradeable; the 1 TB SSD can be swapped later if capacity or speed becomes limiting.
