Compact SFF desktop for office and light gaming

The HP EliteDesk 800 G6 SFF combines a 10th generation Intel Core i5-10500 processor with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 512GB Nvme drive. A dedicated GTX 1050Ti graphics card adds entry-level 3D capability. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed for immediate use in professional or home environments.

Upgrade from integrated graphics or older GTX cards

This system replaces machines relying on CPU graphics or earlier discrete GPUs lacking modern driver support. The jump is worth it when you need hardware-accelerated video decode, multi-monitor output via DisplayPort and HDMI, and stable 1080p performance in less demanding titles without a full tower chassis.

Sustained workloads in a small chassis

The small form factor limits airflow, so the i5-10500 will throttle under prolonged all-core loads above its base frequency. The GTX 1050Ti runs within a modest power envelope, keeping thermals manageable during extended gaming or render sessions. Expect consistent frame pacing rather than peak burst speeds during long sessions.

Questions about this item

What internal space does the SFF 800 G6 chassis leave for a graphics card?

The small-form-factor case fits the included GTX 1050Ti and has no room for a full-height or longer card.

Which video output on the GTX 1050Ti should I connect my monitor to?

Plug the monitor into the GTX 1050Ti HDMI or DisplayPort; the motherboard ports stay disabled while the discrete card is installed.

Can I add a second NVMe drive later without removing the 512 GB boot drive?

The 800 G6 SFF board has only one M.2 NVMe slot, so a second NVMe drive would require replacing the existing 512 GB unit.
