24-inch touch all-in-one PC

The HP EliteOne 1000 G1 combines a 24-inch 1920 x 1080 capacitive touchscreen with a 7th Gen Intel Core i5-7500 quad-core processor running at 3.40 GHz up to 3.80 GHz. It ships with 32 GB DDR4 SODIMM memory, a 128 GB M.2 SSD plus a 1 TB 2.5-inch hard drive, and Windows 10 Pro. A pop-up privacy webcam, integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, gigabit Ethernet, USB keyboard and mouse complete the package for office and video-conferencing use.

Installation and common issues

The all-in-one form factor arrives assembled; simply connect power and press the power button. Windows 10 Pro boots to the out-of-box experience, then downloads updates automatically. The only user-accessible upgrades are the two SODIMM slots and the 2.5-inch drive bay — opening the chassis requires a Torx driver and care with the display ribbon cables. Missing the driver bundle after a clean install can leave the pop-up camera or touch firmware inactive.

Sustained-load behaviour

Under continuous multi-threaded workloads the i5-7500 maintains its base 3.40 GHz across all four cores; Turbo Boost to 3.80 GHz engages only while thermal headroom allows. The integrated Intel Q270 chipset and shared graphics memory mean heavy 3D rendering or large dataset processing will throttle sooner than a discrete-GPU system. Fan noise rises noticeably after several minutes of full utilisation but remains within typical office ambient levels.
