24-inch Touch All-in-One with i5-7500

The HP EliteOne 1000 G1 is a 24-inch all-in-one desktop that combines the display and computer in one unit. It runs a 7th Gen Intel Core i5-7500 processor at 3.40 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.80 GHz. The system includes 32 GB of DDR4 SODIMM memory and dual storage with a 128 GB M.2 SSD plus a 1 TB 2.5-inch SSD. Windows 10 Pro comes pre-installed with a USB keyboard and mouse included.

Suited for touch-enabled office work.

This configuration suits office environments that benefit from a 1920 x 1080 capacitive touchscreen and an integrated pop-up privacy webcam for video conferencing. The 32 GB memory capacity supports heavy multitasking across business applications. Buyers who require a discrete graphics card for 3D rendering, CAD or gaming workloads should look at a tower workstation instead. The integrated graphics and all-in-one form factor limit expansion to external peripherals only.

32 GB DDR4 SODIMM memory capacity

The single specification that determines fit for most buyers is the 32 GB of DDR4 SODIMM memory installed. This amount handles large spreadsheet models, multiple virtual machines and concurrent business applications without paging. If a workflow regularly exceeds 32 GB of active memory, this unit cannot be upgraded further and a platform with higher memory limits is required.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 204-pin DDR4 SODIMM modules and what step is often missed?

Insert each module at an angle into the SoDIMM slots until the gold contacts are hidden, then press down firmly until the side clips click; the step often missed is verifying both clips lock simultaneously.

Which component will need replacement first under continuous operation?

The 2.5-inch 1 TB hard drive has moving parts and a finite write endurance, so it typically requires replacement before the 128 GB M.2 SSD or the 32 GB DDR4 memory.

What limit appears first when the i5-7500 runs at 3.80 GHz for extended periods?

The integrated graphics share system memory and thermal budget with the CPU, so sustained turbo clocks are capped by the shared thermal envelope rather than by discrete GPU limits.
