23.8" FHD Touch All-in-One

The HP EliteOne 800 G4 is a 23.8 inch all-in-one desktop with a 1920 x 1080 touchscreen display. It runs on an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8500 processor with six cores and a 3.0 GHz base clock. The system includes 32 GB of DDR4 SODIMM memory and a 1 TB 2.5 inch hard drive. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed with a USB keyboard and mouse.

Business users needing a compact touchscreen

This unit suits offices that want a space-saving PC with touch input for kiosk, reception or collaborative tasks. The integrated graphics and mechanical hard drive make it a poor fit for buyers who want high-end 3D rendering, video editing or the fastest application load times. Gamers and content creators should look at something else.

32 GB DDR4 SODIMM memory configuration

The installed 32 GB of DDR4 SODIMM RAM is the key specification for multitasking capacity. This amount supports heavy browser workloads, multiple business applications and virtual machines simultaneously. If your workflow demands more memory than this fixed configuration provides, you will need a different system.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 32 GB DDR4 SODIMM modules in the 204-pin slots of this EliteOne 800 G4?

Open the rear access panel, align each 204-pin DDR4 SODIMM with the slot key, press firmly until the side clips lock, then replace the panel and power on to confirm 32 GB is detected.

Which component in this all-in-one will need replacement first, the 2.5-inch 1 TB hard drive or the DVDRW drive?

The 2.5-inch 1 TB hard drive has moving platters and will typically wear out before the DVDRW, so plan to replace it with a 2.5-inch SSD or another hard drive when performance drops.

What thermal limit appears first when the i5-8500 runs at 4.10 GHz Turbo Boost inside this 23.8-inch chassis?

The compact all-in-one cooling reaches its capacity before the processor hits its maximum turbo frequency, so sustained 4.10 GHz loads will throttle to stay within the chassis thermal envelope.
