EliteOne 800 G4 all-in-one

This HP EliteOne 800 G4 combines a 23.8 inch FHD IPS display with an 8th generation Intel Core i7-8700 processor, 32 GB of DDR4 memory and dual storage. The compact chassis integrates the computer behind the screen for a tidy workspace. It suits office professionals who need strong multi-threaded performance in a single unit.

Anti-glare panel and integrated peripherals

The non-touch WLED-backlit panel uses an anti-glare coating to reduce reflections under office lighting. A 720p webcam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a DVD-RW drive are built into the frame. USB keyboard and mouse are included so the system is ready to use immediately.

Upgrades from dual-core or 8 GB configurations

Replacing a dual-core all-in-one or a machine limited to 8 GB of memory removes bottlenecks in multitasking and large spreadsheet work. The jump is worthwhile when daily tasks involve multiple browser tabs, video calls and local data processing simultaneously. Buyers who need a discrete graphics card or user-replaceable 2.5 inch drive bays should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the Gigabit Ethernet port cap real-world throughput at 1 Gbps?

Yes, the integrated Gigabit Ethernet controller limits wired network speeds to a maximum of 1 Gbps in practice.

What physical space is required for the 23.8 inch display on a desk?

The 23.8 inch diagonal FHD IPS panel sits in a thin all-in-one chassis that needs only a standard desktop footprint and access to a power outlet.

How is the 256 GB M.2 drive and 1 TB drive installed, and what step is often missed?

Both drives come pre-installed with Windows 10 Pro on the M.2 SSD; the common oversight is not initialising the 1 TB secondary drive in Disk Management before use.
