Ultra-compact TKL design

The HP HyperX Alloy Origins Core is a tenkeyless mechanical gaming keyboard that removes the numeric keypad to free desk space for mouse movement. It uses HyperX Aqua switches with exposed LEDs and a full aircraft-grade aluminum body for rigidity during intense sessions. A detachable USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable makes it easy to transport between setups.

Wired USB Type-C connectivity

The keyboard connects through a detachable USB Type-C cable to a standard USB Type-A port on the host system. This wired interface provides consistent, low-latency input without relying on battery charge or wireless pairing. The cable can be removed for storage or replaced if damaged, but the keyboard cannot operate without a physical USB connection.

HyperX Aqua switch feel

The defining characteristic is the HyperX Aqua mechanical switch, rated for 80 million keystrokes and featuring exposed LEDs for per-key RGB lighting across 16,777,216 colors. These tactile switches balance actuation force and travel distance for responsive, accurate keystrokes. Buyers who prefer a linear or clicky switch profile, or who require a dedicated numeric keypad, should consider a different model.
