Adds two 10 GbE ports for local links to A5500 switches
The HP JD360B is a two-port 10GbE local connection module designed for the A5500 switch series. It adds high-speed uplinks or stacking links to compatible HP networking infrastructure. Network administrators expanding campus or data-centre fabrics use this module to increase aggregated bandwidth between switches. The unit ships as a single connection module ready for installation.
This module replaces slower uplink modules when 10 Gbps per port is required for storage, virtualization or backbone traffic. The jump is worth it when existing 1 GbE links saturate during peak loads or when new servers demand 10 GbE connectivity. It does not suit builds needing more than two ports per slot or compatibility with non-A5500 chassis.

The JD360B plugs into any open local-connection slot on the HP A5500 chassis; align the guide rails and press firmly until the latch clicks.
Insert compatible SFP+ transceivers into both ports before attaching fibre or copper cables, otherwise the links will not come up.
