Adds 10/100 Ethernet connectivity to compatible HP printers via internal switch module
This HP Jetdirect 610N module adds a 10/100Base-T network port to compatible HP printers. It installs directly into the printer's EIO slot to provide wired Ethernet connectivity for workgroup printing. The card is supplied new and ready for immediate installation.
The 10/100Base-T interface handles typical office print traffic and shared workgroup queues without bottlenecks. It runs out of headroom when the network backbone moves to gigabit speeds or when heavy multi-user workloads saturate the 100 Mbps link.

Yes, the 10/100Base-T interface auto-negotiates speed, so it will connect at 10 Mbps over existing Category 3 or 5 cabling without configuration changes.
Print a configuration page from the printer control panel; the Jetdirect status section should show "Ready" and display the negotiated link speed of 10 or 100 Mbps.
