Product Identity

The HP LaserJet Enterprise 600 M601/602/603 500-Sheet Input Tray Feeder CE998A is a new paper-handling accessory for compatible LaserJet Enterprise printers. It adds a 500-sheet capacity drawer to the supported 601, 602 and 603 series devices. The unit integrates with the printer chassis to expand total input volume.

Who It Suits

This tray suits offices running high-volume print jobs on the listed Enterprise 600 models who need fewer paper refills during the day. It is not for users of other HP printer series, for environments requiring a different paper size not supported by the tray, or for buyers who need an integrated duplex module instead of additional input capacity.

Deciding Specification

Questions about this item

How do I install the 500-sheet input tray feeder on my HP LaserJet Enterprise 600 M601?

Power off the printer, remove the lower cover, align the feeder's rails with the printer base, slide it in until it clicks, then power on and configure the tray in the control panel.

Which rollers or pads will need replacement on the CE998A feeder after extended use?

The pickup rollers, separation rollers and separation pads inside the feeder will wear over time and should be replaced when misfeeds increase.

What is the first limit I will hit when running continuous high-volume jobs through this 500-sheet tray?

The 500-sheet capacity is the first limit; once empty the printer pauses until you reload paper.
