Enterprise monochrome printer

The HP LaserJet Enterprise P3015x is a monochrome laser printer built for workgroups that need fast, high-volume output. It prints at 42 pages per minute and holds 1100 sheets across its standard and additional 500-sheet trays. Automatic duplexing is included. The unit ships with a new toner cartridge.

Connectivity and paper capacity

The printer connects through USB 2.0 and Ethernet, fitting into wired office networks without extra adapters. Its 1100-sheet total input capacity is the figure that determines whether the device can handle your daily print volume without constant refilling. Duplex printing at 1200 x 1200 dpi reduces paper use for double-sided documents.

Installation and common issues

Setup is straightforward: connect the USB or Ethernet cable, install the driver, and load paper into the trays. The included toner is ready to use. The most frequent issue is paper misfeeds when the additional 500-sheet tray is not seated correctly or when mixed paper types are loaded together.

Questions about this item

How fast does the 42 PPM print speed actually run in daily use?

The engine is rated at 42 pages per minute for monochrome output; real-world throughput depends on document complexity and the host computer.

What do the USB 2.0 and Ethernet ports limit in practice?

USB 2.0 connects the printer directly to one PC; Ethernet lets the device join a wired network for shared printing across multiple users.

How much space does the 1100-sheet paper capacity need on a desk or shelf?

The total 1100-sheet capacity includes a standard tray plus an additional 500-sheet tray, so the unit is deeper than a single-tray model and needs room for front paper loading.
