14-inch FHD business laptop for mobile professionals

This HP EliteBook 845 G8 runs Windows 11 Pro on an AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U processor with 6 cores and a 4.2 GHz boost clock. It includes 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD in a 14.0 inch anti-glare display chassis weighing 6.0 kg. The integrated AMD Radeon Graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 panel for everyday productivity.

Suits users needing 32 GB RAM

Buyers who need a touchscreen, larger storage capacity, or discrete graphics should look at other configurations. The fixed 256 GB drive and integrated graphics limit heavy media workflows or large local datasets. No optical drive or cellular modem is present for offline connectivity needs.

32 GB DDR4 memory soldered to the board

The system ships with 32 GB of DDR4-3200 memory installed, supporting a maximum of 64 GB total capacity. This amount handles multi-application workloads and virtual machines comfortably for business users. Memory configuration is not user-upgradable beyond the factory specification.

Questions about this item

How do I install the operating system on the 256GB SSD, and what step do people get wrong?

Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on the 256GB SSD. The step users miss is completing the out-of-box setup and installing driver updates before first use.

What maintenance or replacement will the 32GB DDR4-3200 memory need later?

The 32GB DDR4-3200 SDRAM is soldered and not user-replaceable. No memory maintenance is required; capacity can only be increased up to 64GB at purchase.

What limit shows up first on the AMD Radeon Graphics under sustained load?

The 45% NTSC colour gamut and 250-nit brightness limit visual fidelity before the GPU reaches thermal limits during sustained workloads.
