Mini business desktop for office workloads

The HP EliteDesk 800 G5-MINI is a compact business desktop powered by an Intel Core i5-9500T six-core processor running at 2.20 GHz with 9 MB L3 cache. It ships with 16 GB DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD, running Windows 11 Pro 64-bit. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 handles display output. The mini form factor suits space-constrained desks and standard office tasks.

Fits small workspaces and VESA mounts

The mini chassis occupies minimal desk space and can be mounted behind a compatible display using a VESA bracket. A single power adapter and standard display cables are the only external connections required. The integrated graphics free up expansion slots since no discrete card is needed. The 256 GB SSD provides the boot drive and primary storage without additional drive bays.

Windows 11 Pro and integrated graphics included

Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed, delivering business management features such as BitLocker and remote desktop. Intel UHD Graphics 630 drives up to three displays through the available video outputs without a separate GPU. The 16 GB DDR4 configuration supports multitasking across office applications. No optical drive is present, so software installation relies on network or USB media.

Questions about this item

Does the 2.20 GHz base frequency and 6-core design of the i5-9500T hit a thermal limit before sustained all-core loads finish?

The processor runs at 2.20 GHz base with six cores and 9 MB L3 cache inside the mini chassis; the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 shares the same thermal budget, so prolonged heavy compute will throttle to stay within the cooling capacity.

What noise and heat levels should I expect when the EliteDesk 800 G5-MINI runs all day under typical office workloads?

With the 2.20 GHz 6-core CPU and integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 in a mini form factor, the small fan spins up under load but stays quiet during light tasks; surface temperatures rise noticeably after hours of continuous use.

Which display cables and peripherals must I already own to start working with this mini desktop?

The unit provides integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 outputs, so you need a monitor with a matching video input plus a keyboard and mouse; Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed and the 256 GB SSD is ready to boot.
