OMEN 15 15.6" FHD Gaming Laptop

This HP OMEN 15 is a 15.6 inch FHD gaming laptop built around an Intel Core i7-9750H six-core processor with 12MB SmartCache and 4.50GHz turbo. It ships with 16GB DDR4 2400MHz memory, a 512GB NVMe SSD and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 with 6GB video memory running Windows 10 Pro.

Suits mobile gamers and creators needing RTX 2060

The IPS panel and 26-key rollover keyboard serve competitive play while Thunderbolt and HDMI plus DisplayPort support external monitors. At 5.9 lbs and 1.02 inches thick it is portable yet not ultra-light; buyers wanting longer unplugged sessions or a higher refresh panel should look elsewhere.

Bundled Windows 10 Pro

The operating system enables domain join and BitLocker for work environments while the webcam handles basic video calls. Memory can expand to 64GB via SO-DIMM slots and the NVMe drive is upgradeable so the platform grows with workload demands.

Questions about this item

What display cable do I need to connect an external monitor to the HDMI or DisplayPort on this OMEN 15?

Use a standard HDMI cable for the HDMI port or a DisplayPort cable for the DP port; both ports are driven by the RTX 2060 and support the panel's native 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Will my existing DDR4 SO-DIMM modules work if I want to expand the 16 GB up to the 64 GB maximum?

Yes, the laptop uses DDR4 SO-DIMM slots running at 2400 MHz, so compatible DDR4 SO-DIMM sticks can be added to reach the 64 GB limit.

How can I verify the RTX 2060 is running at full performance after I set up the laptop?

Open NVIDIA Control Panel or Task Manager and confirm the GPU shows 6 GB of dedicated video memory and the driver reports the RTX 2060 as the active 3D device.
