HP OMEN 16-am0017dx League of Legends Ltd Ed gaming laptop

League of Legends Ltd Ed 16

This HP OMEN 16-am0017dx is a League of Legends limited-edition gaming laptop built around a 16.0 inch IPS panel at 1920 x 1200 resolution. It targets competitive players who want a factory-tuned machine with a 165 Hz refresh rate and G-SYNC synchronisation. The 14-core Intel Core i7 14650HX processor reaches a 5.2 GHz boost clock, while 32 GB of memory and a 1 TB M.2 2242 SSD provide capacity for modern titles. Shadow Black chassis and a backlit keyboard complete the package.

Sustained load behaviour

The 14-core CPU and RTX 5060 laptop GPU share a thermal envelope inside the 16 inch chassis. Under extended gaming sessions the 5.2 GHz boost clock will modulate to maintain safe temperatures, so average frame rates settle below the peak burst potential. The 165 Hz panel and G-SYNC keep motion smooth even when the GPU cannot hold the maximum refresh rate. Battery life is rated up to 7.25 hours for lighter workloads, but heavy 3D rendering will reduce runtime substantially.

HDMI 2.1 practical limits

The single HDMI 2.1 port supports external displays up to the bandwidth ceiling of the HDMI 2.1 specification. Driving a 4K panel at high refresh rates or an ultra-wide monitor at native resolution depends on the external display capabilities and cable quality. The internal 1920 x 1200 165 Hz panel remains the primary gaming surface, while the HDMI output serves as a secondary or mirrored screen for streaming or productivity.
