HP OMEN 16 with Core Ultra 9 285H

This HP OMEN 16 gaming laptop pairs a 16-core Intel Core Ultra 9 285H processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU carrying 8GB GDDR7 memory. A 16.0" FHD+ display running at 144 Hz delivers 1920 x 1200 resolution. The system ships with 32GB DDR5 4800 memory and a 2TB PCIe SSD under Windows 11 Home.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Competitive players wanting high frame rates on a 144 Hz panel and creators needing 16 threads for rendering will benefit from the Core Ultra 9 285H and RTX 5070 combination. Buyers who need a touchscreen, an SD card reader, or a fingerprint reader should consider other models.

The spec that decides fit

The 8GB GDDR7 video memory on the RTX 5070 sets the ceiling for texture-heavy workloads at 1920 x 1200; if your titles or apps regularly exceed that buffer, a GPU with more VRAM is required.

Questions about this item

What accessories are included in the box and what must be purchased separately?

The laptop ships with the power adapter and Windows 11 Home pre-installed. No external mouse, carry case or additional storage is included, so buyers add those items if they want them.

Which configuration should I choose between the available memory and storage options?

This unit comes with a single configuration: 32 GB DDR5 4800 memory and a 2 TB PCIe SSD. There are no alternate capacities to select for this model.

What does the 144 Hz refresh rate mean for everyday gaming on the 16 inch FHD+ screen?

The 144 Hz panel refreshes each frame up to 144 times per second, reducing motion blur in fast-paced titles and making cursor movement feel more responsive on the 1920 x 1200 display.
