Built for competitive play

The HP OMEN 16 pairs an AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX 16-core processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU carrying 8GB GDDR7 memory. A 144 Hz IPS panel at 1920 x 1200 resolution keeps motion sharp in fast titles. 64GB DDR5 5600 RAM and a 1TB PCIe Gen 4x4 NVMe M.2 SSD provide headroom for modern workloads.

Designed for daily mobility

The chassis measures 14.07 in wide, 10.59 in deep and 1.03 in high at 5.42 lbs, fitting a standard backpack. A 4-zone RGB keyboard with 26-key rollover anti-ghosting withstands long sessions. Ports include one USB Type-C 3.1, one USB Type-A 3.1 (10Gbps), two USB Type-A 3.0 (5Gbps), RJ-45, HDMI 2.1 and a headphone combo jack.

Limits of the platform

The display covers 62.5% sRGB at 300 nits, so colour-critical work may need an external monitor. The 70 Wh battery and 230 W adapter set practical unplugged time. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 handle wireless duties, while the HDMI 2.1 output drives one high-refresh external screen.
