Raider-series gaming laptop

The HP Omen 16 Raider is a 16.1-inch gaming laptop built around an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 processor with 12 cores and 24 threads. It targets players and creators who want high frame rates and colour-accurate visuals in a single portable chassis. Windows 11 Home ships pre-installed.

32 GB DDR5 and 2 TB PCIe SSD

The system pairs 32 GB of DDR5 memory with a 2 TB PCIe solid-state drive, giving ample headroom for modern titles, large texture packs and multitasking workloads. Memory and storage are soldered or integrated, so future expansion is not supported by the platform design.

240 Hz WQXGA panel and RTX 5070 Ti

A 16-inch WQXGA IPS display running at 240 Hz with 3 ms response time, 500 nits brightness and 100 % sRGB covers fast competitive play and content review. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti with 12 GB GDDR7 drives the panel, while two USB-C, two USB-A, HDMI, RJ-45 and a combo audio jack handle peripherals and external displays.

Questions about this item

Will the 12-core Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 and RTX 5070 Ti run my older USB-A mouse and keyboard without adapters?

Yes, the laptop provides two Superspeed USB Type-A ports so legacy mice, keyboards and other USB-A peripherals connect directly.

How can I confirm the 16-inch 240Hz WQXGA panel is actually running at its rated refresh rate after setup?

Open Windows Settings, choose System then Display, select Advanced display and verify the refresh rate dropdown shows 240 Hz for the built-in screen.

Does the box include an SD card reader or do I need to buy one separately for the 2TB PCIe SSD workflow?

The laptop has no built-in SD reader; an external USB card reader must be purchased separately if your workflow needs one.
