Compact gaming desktop

The HP OMEN 16L is a compact gaming desktop PC powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 8700G processor with 8 cores and 16 threads, reaching up to 5.1 GHz max boost clock. It ships with 16 GB of DDR5-5200 MT/s memory in a single module and a 1 TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD. A discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card with 8 GB GDDR7 dedicated memory works alongside integrated AMD Radeon graphics. Windows 11 Home comes pre-installed.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This system suits gamers and creators who want a ready-to-play tower with modern CPU performance and a current-generation discrete GPU in a smaller chassis. Buyers who need more than 16 GB of memory out of the box, or who require additional drive bays for extra storage expansion, should consider a larger platform. The single memory module leaves one slot free for a future upgrade if the board supports it.

Deciding specification

The discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 with 8 GB GDDR7 dedicated memory is the specification that determines whether this desktop meets your performance target for 1080p and 1440p gaming workloads.
