17.3" QHD 240Hz Gaming Laptop

The HP Omen 17-db1097nr is a 17.3 inch gaming laptop built around a QHD panel running at 240 Hz. It targets gamers who want a large, high-refresh display paired with current-generation components in a black chassis. Windows 11 Home ships pre-installed.

RTX 5070 Laptop GPU

The single specification that decides fit is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. It provides dedicated graphics power for modern titles at the native 2560 x 1440 resolution. Buyers should verify this GPU meets the performance tier their games require.

User-upgraded memory and storage

The supplier opens the factory seal to install 32 GB of DDR5 memory and a 2 TB SSD before shipment. No further disassembly is required by the buyer. The main risk is that the opened seal may affect the original manufacturer warranty terms.

Questions about this item

Does the 17.3" QHD panel at 240 Hz need a special cable to run at full speed?

The built-in display is driven internally, so no external cable is involved; the HDMI 2.1 port can also drive an external monitor at high refresh rates.

Can I add more memory later, or is the 32 GB DDR5 soldered?

The laptop ships with 32 GB of DDR5; whether additional slots are free depends on the specific board layout, so check the service manual before buying extra modules.

What does the bundled 7-in-1 docking station add beyond the laptop's own ports?

It provides extra USB-A ports, an additional HDMI output, wired Ethernet, SD card slots and 1 TB of storage through a single USB-C connection.
