HP OMEN 45L Gaming Desktop

The HP OMEN 45L GT22-3000I is a pre-built gaming desktop PC. It runs on an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K processor with 20 cores and 20 threads. The system includes 16 GB of Kingston FURY DDR5-6000 memory and a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD. Graphics are handled by an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 with 12 GB GDDR7. It ships with Windows 11 Home.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This desktop suits gamers and creators wanting a ready-to-use system with a high-core-count CPU and modern GPU. The 850 W 80 Plus Gold PSU supports the included components. Buyers who want more storage capacity or additional drive bays should look elsewhere. Those needing ECC memory or a different GPU tier should consider other options.

RTX 5070 12 GB GDDR7 graphics card

The single specification that decides fit is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 with 12 GB GDDR7 dedicated memory. This GPU determines the gaming performance ceiling and VRAM available for textures. Verify that 12 GB VRAM meets your resolution and texture-quality targets. The card is installed in the OMEN 45L chassis with the supplied 850 W power supply.

Questions about this item

What motherboard form factor and maximum graphics card length does the OMEN 45L chassis support?

The OMEN 45L uses a standard ATX motherboard and the 850 W ATX power supply provides PCIe power for the installed RTX 5070 graphics card.

How do I install additional DDR5 memory in this desktop and what is the common mistake?

Open the side panel, seat the DDR5 modules in the DIMM slots until the retention clips click, then enable the 6000 MT/s XMP profile in BIOS; the step often missed is enabling XMP so the memory runs at its rated speed.

When will the liquid cooler on the Core Ultra 7 265K need servicing or replacement?

The factory sealed liquid cooler is maintenance free for the life of the system; if pump noise or CPU temperatures rise years later, the entire AIO unit would be replaced as a single part.
