Ready-to-game desktop for high-refresh 1440p

This HP OMEN 45L desktop pairs an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor with 24 cores and 24 threads with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card. Kingston FURY 32 GB DDR5-6000 memory and a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 NVMe M.2 SSD provide fast load times. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed.

PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 and 80 Plus Gold power limit

The 1 TB SSD uses a PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 NVMe interface, so sequential speeds top out at that generation's ceiling. The 850 W 80 Plus Gold certified ATX power supply caps total system draw at its rated output. Gigabit LAN and Wi-Fi 6 wireless connect at up to 1000 Mbps wired.

Tool-less 45L chassis with front I/O

The 45L black chassis uses tool-less panels for internal access and includes a headphone/microphone combo jack plus three rear audio ports on the front. Two 16 GB DDR5 modules occupy both slots, leaving no free DIMM sockets for memory expansion. The single M.2 SSD slot is filled, so adding storage requires a 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drive bay.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 1 TB PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 NVMe M.2 SSD or add a secondary drive?

The system ships with a single 1 TB PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 NVMe M.2 SSD. If you need more space for games or media, you can install an additional M.2 or 2.5 inch drive later.

What does the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K 3.2 GHz up to 5.70 GHz mean for actual gaming performance?

The 24 core 24 thread processor runs at a 3.2 GHz base and can boost to 5.70 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology, delivering high single thread speed for smooth frame rates in modern titles.

How does the Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless card perform in a crowded network?

The Realtek RTL8852BE Wi-Fi 6 2x2 card supports 802.11ax for lower latency and better efficiency on busy networks, while Bluetooth 5.3 handles peripherals reliably.
