16″ WQXGA 240 Hz gaming laptop

The OMEN MAX 16 combines an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU and 32 GB of DDR5-5600 memory. A 1 TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD holds the operating system and game library. The 16 inch display runs at 2560 x 1600 resolution with a variable refresh rate from 60 to 240 Hz and 500 nits brightness. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed for immediate use.

Sustained load thermal behaviour

A vapor chamber, liquid metal on the CPU and self-cleaning fans work together to move heat away from the Core Ultra 9 and RTX 5080 during extended sessions. The Unleashed Mode in OMEN Gaming Hub lets the user raise power limits manually when thermal headroom exists. This architecture aims to keep clock speeds stable over long periods rather than throttling after a short burst.

Installation and common issues

The laptop arrives fully assembled with Windows 11 Home configured, so first boot only requires the initial OS setup wizard. Memory and storage are not user-accessible, preventing accidental damage but also blocking later upgrades. The 83 Whr battery is fixed in place and the 6.1 lb chassis needs a sturdy surface. Driver updates for the RTX 5080 and Intel graphics should be scheduled through OMEN Gaming Hub to avoid version conflicts.
