HP OMEN Slim 16 Gaming Laptop

The HP OMEN Slim 16 is a 16.0 inch gaming laptop built around an Intel Core Ultra 9 285H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU with 8GB GDDR7 memory. It ships with 32GB DDR5 SO-DIMM memory and a 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD. The 144Hz IPS WUXGA display and Windows 11 Pro target gamers and creators who want high refresh visuals in a portable Shadow Black chassis.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The 150W power supply feeds a 16-core, 16-thread CPU capable of 5.4GHz turbo alongside the dedicated RTX 5070 graphics. A 4-cell 70 WHr battery supports mobile sessions away from the outlet. Under continuous gaming or rendering workloads the dual-graphics architecture balances integrated and discrete resources while the slim 0.9 inch profile manages thermal output through the standard cooling solution.

Interface Practical Limits

The laptop provides HDMI output, USB 3.2 Type-C connectivity and a headphone/microphone combo jack for peripherals. Network access relies on Wi-Fi 6E AX211 and Bluetooth 5.4 alongside a wired RJ-45 port. The 1920x1200 panel runs at 144Hz over its internal link; external display bandwidth follows the HDMI and USB-C specifications implemented on this platform.

Questions about this item

Does the 150W PSU and 70 WHr battery keep the Ultra 9-285H and RTX 5070 cool during all-day loads?

The 150W PSU feeds the Ultra 9-285H up to 5.4GHz and the RTX 5070 8GB GDDR7, while the 4-cell 70 WHr battery handles lighter mobile work.

What must I already own to use the HDMI and USB 3.2 Type-C ports on this OMEN Slim 16?

You need an HDMI cable for an external display and USB-C peripherals or adapters; the laptop supplies the ports but no cables.

Will my existing Wi-Fi 6E router and Bluetooth 5.4 headset pair with the AX211 module in this laptop?
