Product identity

The HP OmniBook X 2-in-1 is a 16.0" OLED touchscreen convertible laptop powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 5 430 quad-core processor. It ships with 16GB soldered LPDDR5 memory and a 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, running Windows 11 Home. The 300-nit display offers 1920 x 1200 resolution with 62.5% colour gamut and a 178-degree hinge for multiple viewing modes.

Who it suits and who it does not

This device suits professionals who value a slim 0.6-inch silver chassis weighing 4.09 lbs and need Wi-Fi 7 plus Bluetooth 6.0 for modern wireless workflows. Buyers who require user-upgradable memory should look elsewhere because the 16GB is soldered with no expansion slots. The integrated Radeon 840M graphics limit buyers who need discrete GPU performance for heavy 3D rendering or high-refresh gaming.

Sustained-load behaviour

The 4.5 GHz boost clock and 50 NPU TOPS provide headroom for extended AI-assisted multitasking, while the 65 Wh battery supports long sessions away from mains power. Active cooling manages thermals during prolonged workloads across the 4-core, 8-thread CPU and integrated graphics. Thunderbolt 4 ports at 40Gbps and USB Type-A at 10Gbps maintain high-throughput peripheral connectivity without throttling under continuous data transfer.
