This HP PoE injector delivers up to 30 W of power over a single Gigabit Ethernet link. It accepts 12 V DC or 24 V DC input and provides one 10/100/1000Base-T input port and one 10/100/1000Base-T output port. The unit is designed for Aruba AP-228, 274, 275, 277 and Instant IAP-228, 274, 275, 277 access points as well as AirMesh MST2HAC and MST2HP devices.

Bundled compatibility

The injector ships configured for the listed Aruba and AirMesh models, so no separate power adapter or proprietary cable is required for those devices. It supplies both data and power through the output port, removing the need for a local AC outlet at the access-point location. The 802.3at-compliant output ensures standard PoE+ negotiation with supported hardware.

Straightforward installation

Connect the DC source to the input terminals, link the network upstream to the input port, and run a single Ethernet cable from the output port to the access point. The main issue installers encounter is using a DC supply outside the 12 V to 24 V range, which prevents the unit from powering on. Verify polarity before applying power to avoid damage.
